Welcome to the UFORM sightings database. Our database concentrates on the central UK area from the Welsh coast to the coast of East Anglia and from Manchester down to Somerset and Wiltshire. Where important sightings have occurred outside these boundaries, we include these also. Where there have been correlated sightings from more than one witness, these sightings are shown in green. Sightings that we are currently researching are shown in blue. Our database is an ongoing project to include and cross reference every sighting in our area and will eventually expand to cover the whole of the UK. At the moment we have so many sightings on our own patch, we are concentrating on these, but make our database available online for other researchers to use. We encourage other research sites, to take and cross reference any of our sightings reports including them within their own databases and website where they see fit. All that we ask in return is that if they see a correlation, within our area, that they report it to us, with witness names and contact details, so that we may follow these up for confirmation. : 5/6/2003 Me and my collegues were on our way home from a business conference in London when we pulled in at the service staition to get some more fuel and some supplies.we all got out of the mini bus as we had been in there for quite a while and our legs needed stretching. It was when we were coming out of the service station, (going back to the bus) when we heard a deafening noise and saw three objects speeding across the sky, they were light up with bright lights and each one had 3 red lights in a circular shape, near the centre of the bottom of each object. The objects seemed to dance in the sky making sheriking sounds.then within a second they were gone and there was this eerie feeling, like there was a storm about to happen. We couldn't believe what we had seen, we all were amazed.we stayed in the mini bus for a while before we left. ((NUFORC

The craft apeared to be a standard civilian jumbo jet at first glance. All you could see was the lights on what appeared to be the wings. As Iwas watching it travlled north. It accelerated to an astonishing speed then instantly shot south east and then it disapeard behind a hill. p.s.
a unidentified twin propeler engined american reconnaissance aircraft
was seen within 1 mile of the sighting less than 2 hours before the ufo
appeared. Date
: 4/5/2003 3 lights in the distance, not moving. When the flying object flew overhead, there was no sound at all, even though it was quite low. I could only see 3 lights, all white, one left, one right, and one centre, like an elongated triangle shape. The object was seen in countryside, dark conditions on a very clear night.
Date:
3/15/2003 I
watched the object as it moved steadily across, and then it changed direction
to north, then seemed to accelerate and curve off westwards towards Ellesmere
Port. The object remained intensely bright until out of sight.
Date:
2/15/2003 The observation lasted (unbroken) for 2 hours, in which time it did not appear to move at all. ((NUFORC Note: We suspect that the parties may have been looking at the star, "Sirius." PD)) Date:

1/7/2003 As
I was driving along the A55 expressway towards Bangor and Caernarfon area
I noticed there was two very bright lights, one was stationary and the
other was heading towards it, the second light started to circle around
the first one in a clockwise direction, it then stopped, and they were
both stationary with a small gap between them, then one light started
to move upward and just disappeared, the other moved slowly away to my
left gathering speed and then disappeared, R A F valley is only a few
miles away but these lights were not helicopters or jets, there was no
flashing lights they were just very bright lights white in colour and
changing to a shade of blue when I arrived in work, two people I work
with also mentioned they saw what they said was blue flashing lights,
as they were driving down the bypass from Caernarfon, which drops down
a mountain onto level ground and into Bangor, they didn't think they were
planes or helicopters

12/28/2002 I was opening my gate and looking up to the clear night sky when I saw Red M shaped objects flying in a V formation (which slightly varied upon flight) flying at least 20 x faster than I have ever seen anything fly before. There was no sound whatsoever. I
could not take in what I had just seen. They were flying East over Anchor
Road Longton, Stoke on Trent. England Date:
12/19/2002 I saw 1 object, which looked slightly triangular/teardrop in shape streak across the sky approximately northeast to southwest with a large trailing, fiery plume behind it. It moved at a constant, speed, which seemed extremely fast and there was no sound. At the same time there was a plane in the sky travelling in the opposite direction. The object seemed to be much closer, brighter and faster than this plane. Date:
12/12/2002 I got up at around six in the morning and sore 1 bright light coming towards me. It hovered over my house for at least 5minutes and then went off twice as fast as when it came. When I went back into my house nothing would work and my fridge was missing. Also my car won't work. So I took it to a garage place to get it fixed and they all laughed at me because the motor was not there! Since then there have been 4 other sightings near my area. ((NUFORC

11/15/2002 Whilst driving along a country road from derby to Swadlincote I was aware of a very intense flashing above my car. I pulled over and both my girlfriend and myself looked up in amazement as three objects flashed at a slow rate and moved faster than I had ever seen. At first we thought that they could be fireworks but they started making a whirring noise not dissimilar to an electricity substation. Date:
11/15/2002 I opened the door to call the dog in for the night and as it opened I saw a bright "lamp-light orange" coloured object in the sky directly ahead. Dog was looking in its direction it instantly shot off horizontally to my left, gaining speed quickly and soon disappeared as if it had gone behind a cloud but it was a clear night with good visibility and no cloud cover. I stayed and watched for a while but it was gone. Time of year would suggest a firework but I haven't seen one like it that hovers and then accelerates horizontally. I'm estimating it was 60ft from the ground. Weather conditions: cold, dry, clear night, stars clearly visible, no / very little cloud cover. Rushall,

A local Bewdley man was at home when he observed several lights in the Sky which moved left and right and up and down. The objects were completely silent and remained visible for at least thirty minutes. There were at least two other witnesses including the mans friend and mother. We are appealing for further witnesses to this event. Contact us on: 07941 833 842
Date:
28th September 2002 (Saturday) A local Kidderminster man was out walking looking for wildlife when he witnessed a light moving towards him across a field. The object approached to within five hundred feet of his position and he was able to illuminate it with a torch. Significantly the object moved slowly from side to side and up and down and we consider that this sighting may be related to the sighting shown above, the following evening in Bewdley.
We are appealing for further witnesses to either of the above events in the Kidderminster and Bewdley areas. Contact us on: 07941 833 842.

There
were several witnesses to a bright star in a clear blue sky, which had
a thin tail which was swaying from side to side whilst the object itself
remained stationary for about ten minutes.
Date:
7th April 2002 A bright stationary object, with the appearance of a star, was spotted over the Wrekin near Telford in Shropshire. The object then started to move slowly in a Westerly direction and then accelerated before disappearing from view. The witness stated that although he was leaning out of his window to get a better view, he could hear no sound from the object. About 15 minutes later a dim ball of light moved across the sky heading to the left along approximately the same trajectory as the first object. As it moved it suddenly flared up to an intense brightness. The witness stated; "The view from the rear of the object was amazing, displaying the most beautiful sharp lights I have ever seen and I was left with a sense of sadness as it disappeared from my view". UFORM is appealing for further witnesses to this object as we have been unable to correlate it.
Date: 24th March 2002 Time: 03:00am Location:
Coventry Four
round orange objects moving in an organized manner across the sky in two
pairs. moving too rapidly for aircraft. There were four objects seen,
they were spherical and glowing orange. The UFO's were first seen moving
across the sky in a four line abreast formation, they later split into
two pairs and proceeded in more or less a straight line across the sky.
in each of the two pairs one of the objects would fly rather erratically
while the other held a steady line. The objects continued until they were
out of site. The sighting was completely silent.

that appear as stars 'dancing' in the sky. I witnessed a white light which
appeared at first to be a satellite moving overhead at great speed, in
a southerly direction. However, after it reached an arc of approx 50 degrees
from the horizon, the object rapidly slowed and then curved sharply to
the east. The object then hovered in a random-dancing motion before halting
to a stationary position. Then, to the north of this object, i notice
two similar objects, parallel to each other, moving overhead-north at
satellite speed. These two objects then simultaneously changed directions
by an angle of approx 40 degrees in opposing directions, appearing to
cross paths and flew off, one to the north-west & one to the north
east. Another object then appeared close to the stationary object, traveling
towards the east. This object looked identical to the first object and
was again, moving in a 'random zigzagging' motion, as if dancing in the
sky. The brightness of this object then became very intense for about
5 seconds. It then dimmed and 'shot-off' at 'satellite speed' towards
the north east.
Date: 1st January 2002 Time: 23:40pm Location: Leek, Staffordshire Observation Point: Type: LITS Source: National UFO Reporting Center
Caught what I thought was a shooting star overhead in my peripheral vision. Turned to see three diffuse red (neon) points (no flashing) separated by around 4mm at arms length. It traveled in a SW direction until I lost it at an elevation of around 30 degrees as it turned towards the south. Visible for around 5 seconds in total silence. Conditions were clear, the stars visible in the bright moonlight were not diffused, a very quiet frosty night with zero wind at ground level. The local street lighting was yellow. Date: 29th October 2001 Time: 6:45pm Location: Bishops Itchington/Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Observation Point: Type: LITS - Diamond Source: National UFO Reporting Center Kevin Yates reports that on October 29, 2001, "My wife and I had pulled off our drive in Bishops Itchington at 6:45 PM, when we both looked up and saw a diamond formation of four bright yellow lights in the shape of a diamond with a red one on the top to the left. It moved very slowly emitting no noise, we followed it for about 10 miles to Leamington Spa. Other people along the way appeare to have seen it as well as cars had stopped by the side of the road. In the time we witnessed it, for 25 minutes it changed shape to two bright yellow lights. They also changed shape from being vertical to horizontal. When we got off the main road in Leamington Spa by the police building, I noticed another collection of the same diamond shaped lights coming from Leamington and heading towards Stratford Upon Avon. It was truly a memorable day. Thanks to Joe Trainor Masinaigan@aol.com /Kevin.Yates@btinternet.com
Date: 12th October 2001 Time: 20:30pm Location:
Cannock, Midlands. Type: Triangle Source: National UFO Reporting Center A triangular object moving in a southeasterly direction 10/12/2001 20:30pm. I was walking through the town on my way to an Indian restaurant with some friends from work, i glanced up as it was a fairly clear night as i enjoy looking at the stars, then this triangular shaped object fairly high up raced across the sky from north west to south east. it was a metallic object as the bottom appeared to reflect the amber of all the street lights. It was also completely silent. by the time I realized that this was no ordinary object and went to tell my friends it had disappeared from view it.
Date: 24th September 2001 Time: 22:30pm Location:
Oldbury, West Midlands.. Type: Triangle Source: N/A On 9/24/2001 22:30 black triangle in the sky with no sound . I was stood outside the chip shop in Oldbury, when we saw this black triangle ship in the sky, it was over the supermarket across the road. I watched it fly over towards the other side of the road, it was black or very dark in colour and had lights, three lights one in each point/corner. I didn't hear a noise, there wasn't much traffic but I could hear no noise from the sky. My girlfriend ((name deleted)) saw it too, we watched it and was thinking what is it? Is it a helicopter, like the police helicopter, but ti wasn't, was it a radio controlled toy or something? I don't think so, it looked too big.

Its direction was from worcester to evesham and i live in pershore.
Date: 10th August 2001 Time: 22:15pm Location:
Warley, West Midlands, England. Type: LITS Source: National UFO Reporting Center The same region as my last sighting Warley in the West Midlands, as an astronomer I have just had my telescope mirror re-silvered and was out on the clear night on the 10th Friday 2001, I was with my brother and girlfriend when my brother got our attention, he pointed to a set of lights that were traveling towards us, there were two lights, the top one was bright white whilst the lower one was dimmer and red, they were flying at the same speed across the night sky it was if they were joined together because there was no fluctuations in the movements as they got closer they seemed to speed up and they vanished. I've seen satellites that are similar but not in pairs and they don't speed up and not as bright. I hope someone else in the midlands is reading this so that they can clarify it... it happened at 22:15pm E-mail: Deanosalien8@aol.com

Date: 1st July 2001 Time: 7:10cdt Location: Malvern Hills, Worcestershire. Observation Point: Type: Fire In The Sky Source: N/A MALVERN HILLS , Worcestershire - On July 1, 2001, a mass of yellow and orange flame was seen over the Malvern Hills, emitting a shower of sparks and a strange trail of vapor at 7:10 CDT. Jon Percer, of Welland, spotted the strange object and alerted his wife Mary. "It wasn't going very fast and the vapor trail didn't get any longer." The couple watched the object for several minutes before it disappeared over the hills. A spokesman for the Royal Air Force said there were no operational air bases nearby.
Date:
May 2001 Two weeks ago Tuesday. UFORM Club member witnesses silver disk in sky near M5 Motorway and West Bromwich Albion Football ground. Disk remained stationary for five minutes before disappearing behind a cloud. Shortly after the sighting a large passenger jet was seen flying very low over Sandwell Valley which is on the Birmingham Airport flight path. Minutes later two military jets were seen flying at high speed in the same direction. Further witnesses are asked to contact Mr Steve Poole on 01384 356690 or Carole Baker on 07973 977940.
Time:
18:38pm OLD SWAN, KNOTTY ASH - At approximately 18:38pm A Taxi driver witnessed a UFO over the Old Swan, Knotty Ash area of the city. The UFO exhibited "Four points of amber/ red lights brighter than stars in a clear evening. The points of light formed a square in the evening sky moving in and out slightly, but keeping the same formation, then the bottom left 1 moved of to the left and then returned to its position in the square. the same point of light then moved of again and didn't return". The taxi driver lost sight of the lights shortly after that, but noticed several people straining their necks as he drove past them. He dropped off the fare he had in his cab and continued about his business, He stated: " I picked up a couple of fares and asked them If they had noticed anything in the sky. They told me they hadn't. That's when I started to have doubts myself, but the next fare I picked up [was] a man about 45 years of age just your average Joe, as he got in the cab I asked him about the lights and he nearly exploded. He gave me a description exactly the same as I had seen except he told me that after about a minute after my sighting had ceased the points of light took off , 2 splitting left and right and the third going straight up. He was still physically trembling when he told me this about 20 minutes after the sighting took place. In all my years as a night worker I swear I have never seen anything like this."
Date:
27th January 2001 Nr CEFN COED, SWANSEA, WALES - A residential care supervisor working night shift on 27th January at a local government-run home reported: "The Residents were settled and I was watching television in the lounge". "The curtains were ajar and my attention was brought to this object by the intensity of the light. Bright Emerald Green Globe with a pale green haze around it... When it reached the summit of the hill it looked approximately half the size of a house. There was no sound to it whatsoever and later in the night we could hear planes flying over head. The sky was perfectly clear as it was a very frosty evening... I looked at it and called to my colleagues to come and see it". Unfortunately the object was traveling so quickly that they did not see it... The 36yr - old worker continued... "The object moved extremely quickly over my location then gained altitude to clear the brow of a hill to the South then seemed to lose altitude and dropped out of sight over the hill. I am a skeptic and have never seen anything like this before and although I wanted to tell everybody I was worried about people making a big joke about it. I could not help keeping one eye out of the window for the rest of the shift".
Leicester, 24th January 2001 On the morning of January 24, 2001, I woke at 05:10 AM, sitting up and looking out through our East facing window (we sleep with curtains open). I observed what I first took to be a star, my attention was drawn by its unusual sparkling appearance akin to a fireworks sparkler. It then began to move in a very jerky fashion, not unlike the flight of a butterfly. The general direction of movement was south to north. The morning was not yet fully light. There was only a little wispy cloud above the object. I woke my wife (a skeptic) who, when I showed her, had to agree it was indeed a UFO. We continued to observe until it disappeared traveling northward. The whole sighting lasted about five minutes. I have had an interest in UFO's since I was a child, but this is my first definite sighting. E-mail: seatonaj@lineone.net Jan 24: Unusual stellar object reported by a computer student in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK about a year ago: "It was a clear night and I was [looking] at the stars as you rarely see them living in a city. This object caught my eye by the way it was moving. I thought it was a satellite but then it's path began to curve so I wrote off that idea. I followed it as described and then it vanished, after turning 180 degrees in a very short space and in a short time [6-7 seconds]. I was quite amazed by what I saw and knew it not to be any known aircraft as it moved too fast, but I did not think of reporting it. Well, I did but didn't do anything about it. I remember the date as it was my sister's birthday."
Date: 20th January 2001 and 1st March 2001 Time:
8:30pm - 8:45pm Rossal Close, Fleetwood, Lancashire. Over 100 people witnessed an unidentified object hovering over Fleetwood. The object was stationary at approx one mile distant to the North and displayed a series of amber lights in a triangular configuration surrounded by a blue ring. The report was sumbmitted by a 51year old Male Electronics Engineer who was in a group with three other people who also witnessed the object. He stated... "We (4 of us) were driving home to Rossal Close when we all noticed the shape in the sky at about 30 degrees elevation. I was the driver, and we stopped for a while and got out of the car for a better view, the objects were stationary with no noise. I then drove with my passengers to the sea wall which offered a better vantage point, but on arrival, some 1 minute later, the object had dissapeared. Consultation with others that had seen the objects told me that the object flew over them and went out to sea at about 1ooo ft high again with silence". Another witness reported... "I had been about to go into the shower when My neighbour pounded on my door with urgency. She pulled me out of my house in my batrobe to view this spectacular [sighting]!!.. A collection of neighbours and myself watched as 4 orange lights floated past our houses on Thursday 1st March 2001 @ 6:50pm". The events were reported in the Fleetwood Gazette.
A
brief description by Mr T. I
have never knowingly seen UFO, but today around 11.30-1145pm we were travelling
towards Amblecote along the Stourbridge Road (from Wolverhampton) my wife
noticed what appeared to be a bright metallic (as if the sun were shining
off it) round object high in the sky 11o’clockish.
It was only there for seconds and then seemed to have just disappeared.
The sky was clear blue at this time and the object was not an aircraft.
Would be keen to know it here were any other reports! Footnote:
no other reports on this sighting, following a newspaper appeal.
Date:
10th November 2000 Report
of object/light sighting near Hagley At
18:02 on 10th November 2000 Object seen and location Exact location:- Start of sighting - Latitude 52° 25’ 18.5” North Longitude 2° 7’ 2.7” West End of sighting – Latitude 52° 25’ 34.9” North Longitude 2° 7’ 38.2” West The object seen was a light. To get some sort of reference, imagine the brightest star in the sky and make it a little brighter. It was travelling from Kidderminster towards Birmingham (not sure of compass point direction). There were no flashing lights as would be seen on an aircraft and it wasn’t the International Space Station (ISS) because the last visible pass of the ISS on that day was around 13:30 and the object was seen at 18:02. A map of the sighting location can be seen below:-
The duration of the sighting was around 6 seconds until I had to turn left off the A456 towards Stourbridge. When I first saw the object it seemed to move erratically in the sky above me but I’m pretty sure that the movement at that point was an illusion due to the changing orientation of the car whilst driving around the traffic island. Once I came off the island and the car’s orientation became stable, the object travelled towards Romsley and Birmingham. It travelled from roughly above me to almost the horizon in around 6 seconds. Analysis of the travel and estimated speed can be seen below:- Distance calculation of light/object seen near Hagley At
18:03 on Friday 10th November 2000 Estimating the height of the object I assessed the object to be as a normal airliner and therefore, the height seemed to be at around 10,000 feet (3048 metres). Now, when the object was first noticed it was overhead which can be called 90°. When the object was last seen it was effectively at an optical height of around 30° above the horizontal. So using trigonometry we can calculate roughly how far the object travelled in the 6 seconds (approx) it took to travel from the 90° to the 30° position. Here goes:-
So,
using
gives
us:-
5279metres which is 3.28 miles. To calculate the speed that the object was travelling we now multiply 3.28 miles by 10 (60secs divided by 6 secs). Which gives us 32.8 miles travelled in a minute which is then multiplied by 60 which gives us a speed of 1968 mph. This speed is above the maximum speed of virtually all known aircraft. Obviously this all focuses on the assumption of the object being at 10,000ft altitude but at the same time it shows just how fast the object was travelling. Conclusion To be honest, I haven’t a clue as to what the light could have been. I can pretty much rule out a meteor due to the duration of the sighting. The object was actually still visible after the 6 seconds but I had to turn off the road and the longest I’ve seen a meteor/space debris/shooting star last for is around 1-2 seconds. If it was an aircraft then it is an advanced one due to the speed and the fact that is wasn’t using military and civil aviation specified lights. I haven’t contacted Birmingham radar because they have a policy of not disclosing radar traces to unauthorized persons. Maybe someone else saw the light?
Date:
2nd July 2000, Sunday LocationThe
object was roughly over Red Hill School in Stourbridge - viewed from Hagley
Road I was in a car travelling towards the town Centre WeatherWas
clear and cloudless, and the light condition was twilight! DescriptionI
heard no sound, and I watched for about 15 seconds through a car window
travelling at approximately 30mph.
The object was unlit and appeared to be solid and disc shaped. There was no movement from my observation, and it appeared
to be silver – grey or metallic.
The object would be in my estimate about a quarter of a mile away,
and at this distance the object I would say was about 20 foot across Mr
Coles own account of the sighting. A friend had picked me up from work and we were travelling towards Stourbridge, when I noticed the object ahead and to the right. I could see it semi-silhouetted against the clear twilight pinkish sky. I pointed it out to my friend who, after a quick glance, confirmed that he too could see it, and although it was roughly the size of a helicopter, it was the wrong shape and had no lights. After watching the stationary object for a few seconds it then was obscured by buildings and was not seen again.
Date: 22nd April Time:
9.50pm HARTLEBURY COMMON -- At approximately 9.50pm on 22nd April, Karen Edwards a member of the UFORM Skywatch Team, was on Hartlebury common near Stourport, looking straight up at the skies, when she saw a light as bright as a planet start to move, slowly at first, and then really quickly. She brought it to the attention of several colleagues. She said, "The object was moving in a south easterly direction, in a straight line", "Charles and I saw a smaller bright light, detach itself from the main light" , "This small light, turned in a semi circle and zoomed off in an easterly direction." She continued, "The main object continued moving at speed, it went behind the cloud but could still be seen because it was so bright". The object then disappeared behind dense cloud and did not re-appear. The whole sighting had lasted about ten seconds. Date:
9th April 2000 WHITEFIELD, MANCHESTER -- Ian who works has a Network Development Manager had a sighting of a UFO that shot vertically towards space on April 9, 2000,at 11:45 PM in his back garden. I positively saw an unidentified flying object, which was in my opinion, definitely not a conventional aircraft. The event took place in less than a minute on a perfectly clear night. The crescent moon allowed me to see the edges of the entire moon. After seeing the Northern Lights earlier last week, 1 popped out into my garden to see if the event would be repeated. I saw a bright star-like flash. Thirty seconds later it flashed again in the same position. I looked directly above towards the edge of my roof and saw a large V shaped object `gliding' in a Northwest direction. The craft made no noise, and for the want of a better word, it maneuvered more fluidly than any aircraft I have ever seen. The back of the "V" had vents with glowing red and orange lights. These were on both lengths of the "V" and may have been engines of some kind. There was a haze close to the lights causing distortion like you see on a road on a hot day. The object then smoothly stopped and turned north without banking. It turned to face my direction, so that all I could see was a rectangular outline with three white dots (one at each end and one in the middle). The lights then flashed very brightly and the object turned, pointed upwards and shot directly up in the air showing only its red vents at the back before disappearing. I was a member of the Territorial Army and was trained to identify military and civilian aircraft. Date:
6th April 2000 HUMBERTSON -- A grandmother from Humberston who first saw a UFO 40 years ago thought her husband was joking when he claimed to have seen a UFO in the form of a giant silver cigar. The couple was leaving the Leas of Waltham School at 19:30 hours, when John Ramsden spotted something spooky on April 6. Dorothy Ramsden, who saw a UFO in Daubney Street 40 years ago, said: "We were just about to get into the car when my husband said he'd seen an UFO. Then I saw this lovely silver object with a pinky glow hovering in the sky:" John Ramsden, a skeptic, said: "It was fascinating, we just stared in amazement at the hovering UFO for around six minutes." Date:
April 2000 CLEETHORPES
-- In early April 2000, Cliff Blyth, 68, of Corn Mews, Cleethorpes, Lincs.
Was reportedly shot by aliens. Blyth told the Grimsby Evening Telegraph
that he was struck in the chest by "a two inch red ball of fire that came
right through the window and passed through" his chest.

Clear Starry Night. Bushbury Lane, Bushbury, Wolverhampton. A male university student with a considerable knowledge of both UK and foreign aircraft witnessed an object NNW of Bushbury which moved in a randomly curved path. It suddenly performed a 180degree turn in about a third of a second and shot off towards the NE. He said... "It was a clear night and I was looking at the stars as you rarely see them living in a city. This object caught my eye by the way it was moving. I thought it was a satellite but then it's path began to curve so I wrote off that idea. I followed it as described and then it vanished, after turning 180 degrees in a very short space and in a short time. I was quite amazed by what I saw and knew it not to be any known aircraft as it moved too fast, but I did not think of reporting it. Well, I did but didn't do anything about it. I remember the date as it was my sister's birthday".

November 1999 Midlands - MoD documents record that a commercial pilot flying over the Midlands reported an unusual object travelling at 'very high speed' with a very bright strobe light flashing once every 20 seconds.
ABERGAVENNY,
WALES -- Large formations or "fleets" of metallic sphere UFOs have been
seen repeatedly over The Valleys region of eastern Wales, about 40 miles
(64 kilometers) north of Cardiff. Since November 1999, the UFOs have been
sighted hovering near the cities of Ebbw Vale, Abergavenny and Abertillery. "In
a scene that could have come straight from the Hollywood blockbuster Independence
Day, people have reported seeing `fleets' of metallic spheres floating
2,000 feet (600 meters) in the air."

18th July 1998 On Saturday, July 18, 1998, at midnight, Stephen T. was on Wellington Road in Bilston, a suburb of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK, when he sighted a silver coloured triangular UFO. "It appeared to be silver in colour and was traveling eastward," Stephen reported, "There were no apparent lights that I could see. The object appeared to be only 1,000 feet up. It was traveling fairly fast. The object had rounded aerodynamic corners. It was about 80 degrees above the horizon. It was a fairly clear night with little cloud in place. I had the object in view for about five to ten seconds, after which time it reached the horizon and disappeared into a cloud in the distance".
Date: 13th February 1998, Friday. June was in her neighbours south facing kitchen in the Small Heath area of Birmingham. Small Heath is approximately 3 miles from Birmingham airport. June stood in her next door neighbours kitchen with three other witnesses when they became aware of an extremely bright light that they could see due south through the kitchen window. It appeared to be hovering over Digby Park and remained there stationary for approximately 15 minutes. By naked eye the object appeared to be a diamond shape. When viewed through binoculars the object was too bright to define a shape. An aircraft was seen to travel towards it or at least in that direction. As it got closer the light from the object: "went out and it shot off but it shot off at such a speed and there was all sort or red lights on it" said June "actually the way it shot off I expected it to crash into the church at the top of the road and I ran actually from the back door to the front to see if I could still see it but it had gone." June told us that as the object moved off at speed a number of red lights could be seen which appeared to be moving around the object. UK.UFO.NW are continuing with enquiries. One point worth mentioning is that June who lives quite close to Birmingham International Airport is very used to seeing aircraft flying near to her house. She is also used to seeing the West Midlands Police helicopter with it's powerful search light. Her 'UFO' was not like any of these.
Date: 10th January 1998, Saturday Sighting No. 2: At 5.23 am on Saturday 10th January 1998, traffic warden Margaret was driving north along the M6 motorway between junctions 3 and 4 towards Birmingham airport approximately 7 miles away. Weather conditions on this morning were very good. It was dark and clear. There were no motorway lights at this point. In the distance at an angle of approximately 40 degrees through her vehicles front windscreen she saw an oblong shape stationary in the air. She viewed the object for 30 seconds before it moved away retrospectively into the distance. Margaret who has worked at Birmingham airport for 7 years stated "I see aircraft everyday of my working life. The oblong shape of this was most unusual and not like any aircraft I have ever seen". Possible Correlation: the Goodyear blimp was in the UK for the first time in 20 years. It was seen later the same day over the Wolverhampton football field 20 miles from Birmingham airport. Margaret stated: "it was not a blimp."
Date: 9th January 1998, Friday Rubber worker Stephen was driving to work at Dunlop in the Erdington area of Birmingham. He had with him two friends James and Derek. The Dunlop plant is located in the central Birmingham conurbation, in an industrial area. Dunlop's is famous for it's tyremaking although the plant is now closed and "Fort Dunlop" as it is known has been re-developed. It is also on a major flight path to Birmingham airport situated 5.25 miles away. Although it was dark, the weather was clear and the moon and stars were visible. As the men approached Dunlop they saw a man staring into the night sky. They then saw a stationary single flashing red light with what appeared to be the outline of an unusually shaped aircraft. They were late for work and could not stop to converse with the other witness who has still not been identified.
Date: August 1995 PC John Hanson encountered a UFO on the evening of 14 June 1995. Mr Hanson, aged 52, who retired from the West Midlands police force in 1994, after 27 years service, was at his home near Redditch, Worcestershire, when he looked out of his bedroom window. "I saw a silver pear-shaped ball of light hovering over a tree," he recalled. "It was about 40ft off the ground, and about 20ft long and 5ft wide. "Immediately opposite was a red cigar-shaped object, about 30ft tall. "The pear ball suddenly moved and there was a piece cut out of it like a wedge of cheese. It then changed into the shape of a jelly bean and jumped onto the cigar shaped object. The two objects then fused together, produced a rippling light and were gone." He said the whole episode lasted about five minutes and took place at 10.35pm, and that a similar sighting took place 20 miles away on the same night. "I am not talking about flying saucers or space men, but an unidentified object - some form of energy source," he added.

19th July 1991 CASE HISTORY No 5: Ipstones, Staff, 1991 A Witness known only as Mr M L was visiting friends in the Churnet Valley, Staffs, on July 19, 1991, when he saw an object fall from the sky at nearby Ipstones. The time was 10pm. M L described the object as metallic - like aluminium -
10ft long, cigar-shaped and very bright. He immediately contacted police. They
searched the woodland. A helicopter was used as well. No object was located but
an area of newly broken branches was found which gave the impression that
something had crashed through the trees from above. The search was eventually
abandoned.

16th February 1988 Type:
LITS. A large silent, multi-coloured UFO was observed in the sky above Willenhall by two police officers, PS Stuart Griffiths and PC Michael Powell. Two other uniformed officers, INS Roger Clarke and PS Steve Godwin also observed the same UFO from the Walsall area. The incident was passed to the Ministry of Defence.
Date: 16th July 1981 3 female passengers in a car observed a UFO, and
then reilised that they had a period of missing time. They were hypnotically
regressed and remembered details and entities as part of an abduction scenario.

An off duty officer was driving his own car in
the vicinity of Orchard Road and Hesters Way in Cheltenham when he and his then
wife witnessed a UFO shaped like a large cross that came to a stationary
position above a nearby Catholic Church. The object was hovering at an altitude
of 50-100 feet and a red light flashed from it several times before it
disappeared from view.
Date: 1976 An off duty officer had just finished a 2-10 late
shift at Cheltenham Police Station and had returned to his home in Tewkesbury when he heard an
unusual noise outside. Going into the garden and saw a
huge cross shaped UFO hovering above the M5 motorway some distance away. The UFO moved closer to his home and
the officer used a torch to signal it. The object reacted to the flash and
retreated towards the motorway performing a
bizarre maneuver before it disappeared. An off duty officer was driving towards Cheltenham for a 2-10 shift along the A38 at Coombe Hill, when he observed a three pronged UFO above the village of Deerhurst. He later reported that the UFO was the size of a civil airliner and one of the arms was a barbell shape. As he watched the barbell appendage he was apparently telepathically contacted and an image of a 'humanoid' figure formed in his mind. He flashed his car headlights at the object and it departed rapidly.
Date: 1975 Following reports of UFO activity in the vicinity from the public, an officer was despatched to the police radio masts on Cleve Hill near Evesham. As he approached the hill he observed a large bright circular UFO above one of the three masts. The object was completely stationary. After a short time the object began to moving away along a ridge. The officer attempted to follow it in his marked police vehicle. The object flew across the road on which he was driving and he flashed the vehicle headlights at it. The UFO suddenly departed at a tremendous speed and disappeared. The officer was met by another police officer in a vehicle who confirmed that he had also seen the object flying away from the area.
Date: 16th July 1974 A WAVE of phantom helicopters - black with no identifying markings - were sighted in areas of Britain where UFOs were reported in 1973-74. They were probably rapid deployment teams sent to investigate UFOs, according to Redfern. One such event happened at 8.3-pm on January 23, 1974. A UFO crashed into Cader Bronwen, a 2,000ft peak in the Berwyn Mountains near Corwn, North Wales. One witness, Anne Williams,
said: "I saw a bright light in the sky. It had a long, fiery tail
which went dim and then very fire which keeps coming to life. Off-duty police officer Gwilym Owen was drinking in The Dudley Arms pub when there was a roar, a bang and glasses in the pub shook. The sky was lit up over the mountains. Police stations as far away as 60 miles received phone calls reporting the tremor. At the Institute of Geological Scientices in Edinburgh, the crash measured four on the Richter Scale. They told journalists that a meteorite had come down on Cader Bronwen. Witness Ken Haughton saw a "luminous sphere" 90 minutes after the crash in the area. He said the sphere was 400ft across and travelling at a height of about 15,000ft. Army personnel were quickly dispatched to the scene. The next day, a mountain rescue team went to investigate, while the RAF carried out a photographic survey of the area. No trace of a craft or any |
